This is what Kirk Ferentz and Nate Kaeding are talking about today

Former player and coach Joe Ehrmann and his “Coach for America” program.

Here’s an HBO “Real Sports” segment on Ehrmann. I found it fascinating. He has ties to Gilman School, which has given the Hawkeyes two commitments this year (Jim Poggi and Anthony Ferguson).

This might lead you to consider Ehrmann’s presentation next Thursday night at the Englert in IC.

Here’s a snippet from yesterday’s UI release:

“The primary purpose of the press conference is to discuss an event Kirk and Nate are hosting on Thursday, June 25, 7 p.m. at the Englert Theater in Iowa City.  It features, Joe Ehrmann, a former football great, who is now considered one of the most influential sports educators in America.

His perspective on coaching has impacted both Kirk and Nate in their personal and professional lives.  They are extremely excited to be sharing this opportunity with the eastern Iowans, and hope to fill the Englert with local coaches, educators, parents, and athletes.  All profits from the event go to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.”
